Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology.  just click the next post  can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required, such as emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand although we would like to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.

This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.

The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built.
